Government receives more than 800 suggestion

BHUBANESWAR: The State Government has received more than 800 suggestion through various modes from public, civil society, advocacy groups and stakeholders for the formulation of Annual Budget, 2016-17.

The State Government recently launched a web page and an SMS number to accept suggestions from the general public to increase their participation in budget preparation.  The suggestions will be received up to 15th January 2016, said a release issued by the government here following an all Secretary meeting held at State Secretariat here Thursday.

The government has received more than 800 suggestion from public, civil society, advocacy groups and stakeholders for the formulation of Annual Budget 2016-17.  The Center for Excellence in Fiscal Policy & Taxation (CEFT) has been engaged in analysing these suggestions.

Chief Secretary advised to send the segregated suggestions to respective departments for consideration and views, the release added.
