BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) authorities on Saturday lodged a complaint at the State Crime Branch and also at the Khandagiri police station seeking a probe into the hacking of its official website www.ouat.ac.in.
The official website of OUAT was hacked on Friday evening.
The website was hacked by a hacker identifying himself as ‘Don’ while posting obscene messages on the OUAT website.
“We have formally lodged a complaint about the hacking of our website at the Crime Branch and also at the Khandagiri police. We have appealed them to initiate probe immediately,” said OUAT Vice-Chancellor Prof Manoranjan Kar.
Kar said they had removed the website from the server after it was hacked.
Notably, the website of the Regional Transport Office (RTO), Ganjam district http://www.rtoganjam.com/ was hacked on December 29. But the matter came to fore only on January 3.
Abbas Abraham reportedly hacked the website.
A banner of an unknown organisation Pakistan Cybercrew was displayed on the website of the RTO.
Besides, the National flag of Pakistan written with ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ was also displayed on the homepage of the hacked website.
