Raja, Jessy planned to dance on dream song ‘Cinema Dekhe Mamma’

BALASORE: Odia television actor and choreographer Ranjit Patnaik alias Raja and actress Jessy had planned to dance to the tune of ‘Cinema Dekhe Mamma’, a song of Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Singh is Bling’, two days before Valentine Day.

But, their dream of dancing together at the annual function of Odisha Tele Actors’ Association (OTAA), which was scheduled to be held on February 12, shattered when Odia actor Raja mysterious died in which Jessy has been entangled and is facing police interrogation since last two days.

Now, the event has been shifted to February 27. Raja was joint secretary of OTAA.

“We have rehearsed extensively to perform in our dream song. We have planned to perform a dance on the song ‘Cinema Dekhe Mamma’ in the association function. But, everything shattered,” said Jessy, who appeared before Soro police on Saturday.

Even though she admitted that Raja had kept a special gift in the hotel room, where he was staying, she denied of having any special planning celebrating Valentine Day.

She also rubbished the rumours that they were planning to get hitched soon.

“Raja was a very good friend of mine. I love him, and he also loves me. Raja was a great supporter of me and stood by me on every occasion. But, we did not have that kind of relationship like lovers do. We also had no plan to marry,” she clarified.

Reiterating that Raja’s death was an accident, Jessy said that if she had committed any crime, she is ready to face any punishment.

Meanwhile, Jessy, driver Dhaneswar and event manager Pralay, who had accompanied with Raja on that fateful night to an event in Bhadrak, are released on personal recognisance bond on Saturday.
