BHUBANESWAR: The Vigilance sleuths on Thursday arrested the Odisha Forest Service (OFS) officer Sudhanshu Mishra for possessing disproportionate assets.
Athagarh Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Sudhanshu Mishra was arrested in the disproportionate assets case after the vigilance wing detected to the tune of a whopping Rs 6 crore from his possession.
Both immovable and movable assets worth Rs 5,92,93,178 was detected during simultaneous raids at ten places across the state on Wednesday.
It detected Rs 93.61 lakh cash, fixed deposits of Rs 2,61,97,151, savings bank deposits in various banks and post offices worth Rs 93,23,762, insurance premium deposits worth Rs 19,13,338, gold jewellery and gold coins weighing 551.39g worth Rs 8,26,500, 472.78g silver ornaments worth around Rs 15,000 were detected during the raids.
Besides, movable properties worth Rs 4,80,42,531 and immovable properties worth Rs 1,12,50,647 were also found.
