Boat Capsized In Odisha’s Dhenkanal, Six Missing

DHENKANAL: In a tragic incident, at least six persons were missing after a boat carrying about 50-60 villagers capsized in Brahmani river near Chandipal ghat in Dhenkanal district of Odisha.

Kamakshyanagar sub-collector Manoj Behera said two women had been rescued in critical condition while search operation is on to trace out others.

Sources said the incident occurred when the villagers of Surapratappur were going to have the darshan of Lord Shiva at Doudeswar temple in Gandia.

Meanwhile, the district officials have rushed the spot and launched a search operation to find out the persons suspected to have drowned in the Brahmani river.
