BHUBANESWAR: Holi, the festival of colour was celebrated across Odisha on Thursday with fervour and gaiety as revellers took to the streets with sprinklers since morning.
The people cutting across religious lines celebrated the festival by smearing colours each other. Streets took rainbow hues as people played with colours to mark the festival.
About 70 Japanese and other foreign nationals celebrated the festival in Puri, the land of Lord Jagannath.
Odisha Police had deployed security personnel at several sensitive places to maintain law and order.
While no untoward incident has been reported from any part of the state, police have caught some people in drunk and driving cases in the capital city of Odisha.
