Odisha to form 15 working groups to realise vision 2036


BHUBANESWAR: Technology advisor of Odisha government Sam Pitroda informed that the state government would form 15 working groups to facilitate using of technology to improve the quality of life of the people in the state.

In a series of tweets, Pitroda said the state government has already announced apex committee and core group to organise people and funds to begin work to ensure the development of people through information technology.Sam Pitroda

“As a next step we have a meeting in a couple of days of the APEX committee to establish 15 working groups to prepare baseline & work plans,” tweeted Pitroda.

“These 15 groups include areas like fibre optics connectivity, telemedicine, e-gov, education, infrastructure, applications, content, agriculture, smartphones & many other initiatives #vision2036,” he said in another tweet.

Notably, Odisha government is preparing vision document to ensure holistic development by 2036.

The technology advisor of Odisha said, “Once we have reports of the 15 working groups we will be in a better position to prioritise our work to match our resources and public needs.”
Assuring the people that they will do their best to the vision of the future of Odisha, he said they are committed to using technology to improve the quality of life of the people.
