Nalco, MCL, Paradip Port Post Record Performances

BHUBANESWAR: MCL has become the top coal producer in the country, which produced record 138mt of coal in 2015-16.

MCL contributed 39% coal to the incremental growth of CIL, informed petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan in a tweet.

He also informed that Paradip Port Trust (PPT) achieved an all-time cargo record of 76.38 million tonnes during the financial year 2015-16 registering a growth of 7.57 per cent.

He said Aluminium major Nalco had posted record production of alumina and bauxite in fiscal 2015-16.

“63.40 lakh tonnes of bauxite(10.47% higher);19.53 lakh tonnes of alumina(5.51% higher);highest-ever production figures since the inception of NALCO,” tweeted Pradhan.
