High Alert In Odisha After Terrorists’ Entry In India


BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha government on Thursday issued a high alert across the state following the entry of three terrorists to the country.

Notably, Delhi Police on Wednesday issued a warning about the entry of three heavily armed Pakistani terrorists into the country.

Odisha DGP KB Singh said a high alert had been sounded across the state after security threat information received from intelligence bureau and other security agencies over the entry of terrorists.

He said security had been tightened near key installations including malls, airport, Hirakud dam and several religious sites.

Besides, district collectors and superintendents of police have been asked to remain alerted, he added.

Police sources said they would focus on checking of vehicles, security of vital installations and defence establishments.
