BHUBANESWAR: Intensifying its demand for resignation of Minister Sanjay Dasburma over his alleged involvement in the chit fund scam, Odisha Congress on Monday announced to stage a massive demonstration in the capital city on April 26.
It was decided in a meeting presided over by PCC president Prasad Harichandan attended by several senior leaders of the party.
“Dasburma has no moral right to remain in office. He should quit immediately for his involvement in the chit fund scam”, said Harichandan after the meeting at Congress Bhawan.
He said the party would continue its demand until the minister resigns.
Notably, Congress has been demanding the resignation of food supplies and consumer welfare minister Dasburma after CBI issued a notice to the minister for allegedly taking a car from Artha Tatwa Group chief Pradeep Sethy.
