BHUBANESWAR: Autorickshaw owners and drivers under the banner of Rajadhani Autorickshaw Sangha on Thursday took out a rally and staged a demonstration at PMG square here opposing the App-based on-line auto services in the capital city of Odisha.
They demanded the closure of three online companies providing App-based auto rickshaw services at a cheaper price. They opposed radio auto services like Jugnoo, Ola and Uber.
They also submitted a memorandum to police commissioner pressing their demands.
The agitating Sangha members said that since the online companies are providing service at a low price, they cannot run their business.
“We cannot provide auto rickshaw services at such a cheaper price because we do not have network business like the online companies. Their operations have affected our daily bread and butter,” said an agitating member.
