Man Killed Wife For Refusing To Consume Alcohol In Odisha

MALKANGIRI: In a bizarre incident, a man killed his wife with a sharp weapon and attacked two daughters after his wife refused to consume alcohol. In the incident, his two daughters got injured.

Padia Padiami, a resident of Kurukundi village under Kalimela Police limits in Malkangiri, came home in an inebriated condition on Thursday evening. Then, he forced his wife to drink alcohol. However, his wife refused to consume liquor that annoyed him, and he attacked his wife with a sharp weapon causing her death on the spot, said reports.

He also attacked his two daughters. The injured girls have been admitted to a local hospital.

While the police have started investigating into the matter, Padia has fled after committing the crime.
