Singer Anup Jalota Faces Trouble In Odisha

DHENKANAL: Noted singer Anup Jalota on Friday faced trouble as his taxi driver was detained by Dhenkanal regional transport officer (RTO) for driving without license in Odisha.

Jalota had to stay at the RTO office for quite some time as the driver was detained for driving without license, said sources.

However, the driver along with Jalota was allowed to go after detailed verification of the taxi, sources added.

The singer was returning to Bhubaneswar after holding a performance in the district.

Anup Jalota is known for his performances in the Hindu devotional music bhajan and the Urdu form of poetry, ghazal. He is popularly known as the “Bhajan Samraat”.
