Odisha CM Joins Facebook; Over 40 thousand Followers On Day One

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday joined the world’s most popular social media platform Facebook with his first post “Jai Jagannath” on his official page www.facebook.com/naveen.odisha

This will be the chief minister’s second presence on a social media platform after Twitter.

The Facebook page, which was launched as a verified by Facebook page, has crossed more than 40,515 followers in a single day. The chief minister’s Facebook page will facilitate feedback from people for the chief minister and promote better delivery of services and governance. Citizens are encouraged to provide suggestions and ideas for using the page.

Earlier on February 24 this year, the Chief Minister’s Office, Odisha was the first CMO in India to use the live streaming facility, which was confirmed by Facebook.
