Union Agriculture Minister To Observe Akshaya Trutiya In Odisha

BHUBANESWAR: Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh will don the role of a farmer to observe Akshaya Trutiya to mark the beginning of the farming season on Monday.

Singh will observe the day by doing the ceremonial ploughing in the fields at Kandarpur in Cuttack. Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and state BJP president Basant Panda will accompany him during the occasion.

Like every year, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will also observe Akshaya Trutiya by ploughing fields and sowing seeds.
