BHUBANESWAR: Ending the speculation, retired IAS officer Ranglal Jamuda has been appointed as chairman of State Food Commission on Monday.
Besides, Manoj Panda and former Kendrapada MLA Sipra Mallick are appointed as two other members of State Food Commission.
1981 batch Odisha, cadre IAS officer Jamuda, will be given chief secretary rank facilities while other two members will be accorded principal secretary rank facilities.
Notably, a total of 17 persons had applied to head State Food Commission.
Rangalal Jamuda was the earlier Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India. Jamuda was also Special Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation.
In a career spanning over 35 years, he has held several important posts at different levels in the cadre and also in the Government of India.
