PM Modi’s Visit Schedule To Odisha Changed


BHUBANESWAR: The visit schedule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Odisha has been revised, said a BJP leader on Saturday.

He said Modi would address a public gathering in Balasore at 9 am in the morning, instead afternoon on June 2.

For the security of the Prime Minister, the police have made elaborate security arrangements.

4 SPs, 5 ASPs, 12 DCPs and 60 platoons of the police force are to be deployed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Balasore, said DGP KB Singh.

Meanwhile, the district administration of Balasore is on its toes with the visit of the Prime Minister.

The administration on Friday held a preparatory meeting chaired by district collector Pramod Kumar Das in this regard.

The Collector directed the officials to ensure that all necessary preparations are in place by May 30. Superintendent of police Niti Sekhar and other senior police officials were present at the meeting and apprised the collector about the security measures being put in place for the Prime Minister’s visit.

The Collector directed the organisers of the meeting to obtain all necessary permissions and deposit necessary fees to avail of certain services for the meeting. Das laid thrust on the adequate arrangement of fire safety measure for the meeting venue while officials of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) were asked to cover adequately the pipelines laid in the area.
