Health Minister Visits Kandhamal District Hospital

KANDHAMAL: Health Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak on Friday expressed his dissatisfaction over the functioning of the district headquarters hospital.

He found that there was no proper respond to the patients in the hospital.

The minister advised making a proposal through NRHM for digital x-ray, ultrasound, ambulance service in remote areas.

Furthermore, he advised the CDMO to take steps to check death rate of the newborn babies and pregnant women.

With him health secretary Arti Ahuja, collector Kandhmal Regbu Ji were present.

The public informed that the doctors are referring every case to Berhampur. There must be a particular rule for referrals. Also, the doctor sent patients to purchase medicine from outside, they said.
