BHUBANESWAR: At a time the Odisha Congress is preparing to hold ‘Dhikkar Divas’ against the misrule of BJD and NDA governments, former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Hemananda Biswal on Wednesday dropped a bombshell saying that some leaders are dissatisfied with PCC president Prasad Harichandan.
“Even though the issue has not come to fore, some workers and leaders are dissatisfied with the PCC president,” said Biswal, who met AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi to discuss party affairs at New Delhi.
The former Chief Minister said senior party leaders should be given prestigious posts in the party so that the party could be managed smoothly.
He also said that the secretaries of the party should be appointed to oversee the party affairs at assembly constituency level.
Notably, Congress has decided to hold Dhikkar Divas against BJD government and Modi government on June 10.
The party has performed well in the municipal by-elections. It managed to win a corporation ward at Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC), which was earlier represented by former Mayor Minakshi Behera.
