Security Beefed Up For Defence Minister’s Visit To Odisha

BHUBANESWAR: Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar is scheduled to visit Odisha to attend BJP’s Vikas Utsav at Cuttack on Sunday.

Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation Ram Kripal Yadav, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and state BJP Pravari Arun Singh would accompany Parrikar to the Vikas Ustav.

The leaders would address a gathering of intellectuals at the Sarala Bhawan at around 6 pm.

Meanwhile, the district administration has made elaborate security arrangements for the visit of the ministers.

Notably, BJD workers allegedly attacked the convoy of Union Textiles Minister Santosh Gangwar and Minister for Food Processing Industries Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti during their visit to Bargarh on Friday.
