More Mines To Be Auctioned In Odisha Soon

BHUBANESWAR: Mines secretary Balvender Kumar on Thursday said notification for the auction of some more mines would be issued within a month.

“We requested the state to put about 7-8 blocks as early as possible. The Chief Secretary has assured to issue notification for some blocks within a month,” said the Mines secretary after holding a meeting with the state government officials.

He said Nalco would develop the peripheral areas of Srimandri for upliftment and cleanliness. He said Nalco is also ready to take up CSR activities in Puri.

Besides, they discussed the proposed aluminium park to be set up at Angul.

“Both Nalco and the state government will work out on the price at which aluminium would be supplied to industries,” he added.
