28 Killed In Lightning, Odisha CM Condoles

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday expressed his condolences over the death of people due to the lightning strikes in the state.

The Chief Minister also directed the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) to disburse assistance as per the Relief Code to the kith and kin of the deceased.

According to reports, over 28 persons were killed and over 40 injured by lightning in different parts of the state on Saturday.

SRC sources said they were collecting information from district collectors to get the number of deaths due to lightning.
