Bhubaneswar: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday conducted a search operation in the office of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) about the age certificate forging by junior cricketers.
A three-member team of CBI interrogated as many as 30 players, who are under scanner for allegedly manipulating age records.
The investigating agency had on Monday inquired about the age certificate at the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) office on Monday.
It is alleged that the cricketers have forged their age certificate and had taken part in an under-19 tournament conducted by the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) from March 30 to April 30 this year.
OCA secretary Ashirbad Behera said the officials are not involved in the forgery.
A social organization in April this year wrote to the BCCI and several investigating agencies to conduct a probe into the fraud.
