3 Arrested For Abducting, Trafficking, Raping A Physically Challenged Girl

Rourkela: Three persons have  been arrested and forwarded to court by Sundargarh police  on Friday for allegedly abducting, trafficking and gang raping a physically challenged tribal  girl.

Another person involved in this case is absconding, said police.

Sources  said, a 27-year deaf and dumb tribal girl resides with his parents in Sareikela village under Hemgiri police station in Sundargarh. She had gone missing June 13 this year.  The  father of the girl had lodged a missing complaint with the police.

Recently, the father of the girl got information from a person from  Haryana that her deaf and dumb daughter is  in Haryana. The person told that he had rescued her from a railway station seeing her crying and in a helpless condition.

After rescuing his daughter, he lodged a FIR with Balinga police that six persons of his area had abducted her and thereafter had trafficked her to Haryana. They had sold her at  different places in Haryana and she had been repeatedly raped.

The victim girl managed to flee from the clutches of those  persons and had accidentally  reached a railway station in Haryana.
