Fishermen Warned To Be Cautious While Venturing Into Sea

Bhubaneswar: The Met department on Monday warned the fishermen to be cautious while venturing into the sea as heavy rain coupled with gusty surface wind is likely to lash along the Odisha coast.

Under the impact of a low pressure formed over the Bay of Bengal, rain or thundershower is likely to occur at many places over Odisha during next 24 hours.

“Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over districts of interior Odisha during next 24 hours,” said a bulletin of Met department.

Gusty surface wind from the Southwesterly direction with speed reaching 35 to 45 KMPH with gusting to 55 KMPH would prevail along and off Odisha Coast, said the bulletin.

It warned that sea condition would be moderate to rough.
