36 Corporate Houses Participate In Keonjhar Job Fair

Keonjhar: Over 3000 youths participated in district-level employment mela held at Neheru Stadium in Champua of Keonjhar district on Saturday.

About 36 companies working in the district participated in the job fair to recruit suitable candidates from the mela.

Before the start of the program, a meeting was held in which Keonjhar district collector Dr. N. Tirumallanaik said that the purpose of organizing such programme is to  facilitate the educated and skilled youths of the district to get a job in the different companies of the district.

However, when one youth complained that there was no scope for the candidates having B.Tech in the job fair , the Collector said that this program was mainly for poor and backward having the qualification of ITI, Diploma and matriculates.

Candidates complained about the apathetic attitude of major companies like Tata group, which did not participate in the job fair.
