Bhubaneswar: Amway Opportunity Foundation (AOF), the corporate social responsibility arm of Amway India, celebrated Children’s day, in association with Palli Unnayan Seva Samiti.
A special day out was organized for the under-privileged children staying in the premises of Palli Unnayan Seva Samiti . The day out included fun activities like science exhibition, painting competition, Fancy Dress Competition, games and a magic show.
To mark the occasion, Amway Opportunity Foundation organized a drawing competition for the children. The theme of the painting competition for the children belonging to the age group 11 years to 14 years was “Save Water” whereas the theme was Swach Bharat Abhiyan for the children between the age group of 14 and 18 years.
The children participated in the activities with a lot of enthusiasm. Children also enthralled the audience with a musical soiree at the celebration.
The event concluded with selection of winners and prize distribution to the winners. Lenin Mohanty, Editor, Odisha Review & Utkal Prasang , Dept of I &PR ,Govt of Odisha , Niharkanta Praharaj, Govt. Advocate, State administrative Tribunal, Odisha and Rana Pratap Pradhan, Cluster Operations Manager, Odisha, Amway India presented prizes to the winners of Drawing competition and Fancy Dress Competition. All children were presented with special gift hampers.
Commenting on the occasion, G. S. Cheema, Sr. Vice President – North & East, Amway India, said,“ The Children’s day celebration is a part of our CSR Project called Sunrise under which we support 15 NGOs working in the area of education of health, hygiene of under privileged children. It is a gratifying and humbling experience to see smiles on the faces of these beautiful children.”
Mrs Swati Suchismita Patra, Secretary, PUSS, said, “Our aim is to give the children time-off from the regular routine and engage them in fun activities which ultimately builds their self-confidence and increases their exposure. It is great to see them having so much fun.”
