Odisha govt hikes 7% DA of employees, pensioners


Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday announced a Dearness Allowance hike of seven percent for government employees and pensioners with retrospective effect from July this year.

A total of four lakh government employees and three lakh pensioners would be benefited following the decision.

The state government increased the DA to 132 percent from the present 125 percent.

The increase in DA for the July 1 to November 30 period will be remitted in a lump sum in the bank accounts of employees and the hike from the current month will be paid together with their salaries.
