Bengaluru rerun in Bhubaneswar: Girl narrates her ordeal in viral video

Bhubaneswar: While the girls’ molestation video in Bhubaneswar has gone viral on social media, the Commissionerate Police on Saturday said they have identified the accused youths from the video and they would be arrested soon.

In the video, a girl alleged that police reached the spot 40 minutes after the incident while the police station was just five minutes away.

The police gave a bizarre excuse that the PCR van had no petrol, the girl said.

Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabarata Bhoi said the police have identified the eve-teasers from the video shot by a victim by means of her cell phone and they are to be arrested soon.

“We’ve already identified the culprits. The bike used has been seized. Questioning of people is on and we’re hopeful that the culprits will be arrested soon. After apprehending them and following their interrogations, the exact cause behind the incident can only be ascertained,” said Bhoi.

Three girls were abused and thrashed by some youths for resisting eve-teasing in the capital city of Odisha here on Friday.
