CIPET building caves in, six critically injured in Balasore

Balasore (Odisha): At least six persons were critically injured after the roof of a new building of CIPET collapsed in Balasore industrial area here on Sunday.

It is suspected that some others are feared trapped inside the rubble. It was a two-storied building.

While the injured persons have been shifted to nearby hospital, the officials of fire services, ODRAF, NDRF and local people have been engaged to carry out the rescue operation.

The district administration has rushed to the spot and is monitoring the situation.

Balasore district collector said six persons have been rescued and admitted to the Balasore district headquarters hospital.
