Chit fund scam: EOW nabs Sagarika Mutual Fund director from Kolkata

Bhubaneswar: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch arrested the director of chit fund company Sagarika Mutual Fund from Kolkata on Monday.

The EOW arrested director Sibu Das and Odisha head of the company Satyan Manik on charges of duping the investors of Rs 4 crore. It would bring the duo to Bhubaneswar on transit remand today.

According to sources, EOW would grill the duo regarding the investor’s money and how they were spent. It would also interrogate them over the company’s link with some of the high profile persons in the state and would get the details on it.
