Senior BSNL employee arrested by CBI on graft charges

Bhubaneswar: The CBI on Tuesday arrested a BSNL employee while accepting Rs one lakh for passing pending bills of a private contractor.

Gupta Chandra Bidika, additional general manager, Microwave Project (Bhubaneswar) was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting  Rs one lakh from the contractor for passing his pending bills with BSNL, said a CBI release.

The CBI conducted raids at the office and residence of the accused.
