Bhubaneswar: The ruling Biju Yuva Janata Dal (BYJD) on Monday organized a bike rally protesting against Centre’s reduction of kerosene quota to Odisha.
BYJD took out the bike rally from the state head office of the party. It culminated at Raj Bhawan after passing through Capital Hospital chhak, Sishu Bhawan chhak, Master Canteen, Ram Mandir and Red Cross Bhawan chhak.
BYJD president and Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Sanjay Dasburma led the rally.
A team of the party leaders submitted a memorandum to Governor SC Jamir addressing President Pranab Mukherjee against Centre’s kerosene quota policy.
The state government alleged the Centre of slashing 36% of the State’s kerosene quota this year and allotted only 62,112 Kilolitre.
