Mamata slams BJP for divisive politics

Puri: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for BJP for creating differences between different regions of the nation.

“BJP believes in divide-and-rule policy on the basis of caste, religion, and language. We don’t follow that. For us, all religions are equal. Being a true Hindu and a believer of secularism, I won’t allow BJP to spread hatred and divide people,” Mamata told reporters here.

She said the regional parties should move ahead together to counter the divisive politics of BJP.

“All regional parties should become strong and move ahead together maintaining good relation with each other,” she added.

She also said she has sought time for meeting with Naveen Patnaik on Thursday.
