Bhubaneshwar: Odia film actor Sabyasachi on Thursday said there is the need of the hour for gender equality and equal opportunity for the girl child for a better and developed India.
Sabyasachi inaugurated the All India Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2019 Stall along with Dr Neharika Malhotra from FOGSI – Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecological Societies of India here.
“Invest in the future generation for a healthy India, developing an emotional connect with respect to values, dignity and equality for girls and women will bring about the much-needed change in the societal mindset across the country,” said the Ollywood actor.
“With more than 350 million youth in the country, by ensuring they remain healthy will go a long way in building a healthy nation. We truly believe that women’s health is nations wealth and it is the tagline of the 62nd AICOG, 2019 to be held in Bengaluru” remarked Dr Hema Divakar, Chairperson of the 62nd AICOG 2019.
Dr C N Purandare and Dr Johanvis from FIGO –International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics- the apex body and global voice for women’s health hereby endorsed the role model initiatives being rolled out for prevention of diabetes in pregnancy in India.
“The challenges of organising a mammoth conference with more than 15000 Obgynies in Bangaluru will be leveraged as an opportunity by Team Bangalore to share experience and showcase the richness of the state,” said Dr Sheela Mane, the Organizing Secretary of the 62nd AICOG 2019.
