Two criminals injured in police encounter in Odisha


Puri: Two criminals were injured in a police encounter at Kaji Patana in Puri district on Thursday night.

The criminals have been identified as Subash Pradhan and Amar Omkar Solanki.  The duo sustained bullet injuries on their legs, said police on Friday.

They were admitted to Pipili health centre but later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after their health condition deteriorated.

The police recovered a pistol, five rounds of live bullets and a bike from their possession.

According to police, the criminals are involved in Gangadhar Bhol firing case that took place near Kathapola on Puri-Bhubaneswar National Highway on January 7, a police officer informed.
