Petrol tanker, truck, tractor burnt to ashes at Angul

Angul: In a fire mishap, a petrol tanker, a truck and a tractor were burnt to ashes at Nakachi on the National Highway No. 55 near Angul this morning.

According to reports, the tanker, which had thousands of litres of petrol, caught fire.

Later, the fire spread to a tractor and a truck that were stationery near the tanker. All the three vehicles were burnt to ashes.

While the reason behind the spread of fire was not ascertained, fire brigades engaged in extinguishing the fire and brought under control the fire.

The driver and the helper of the tanker are stated to have a miraculous escape from the mishap.

Meanwhile, police are investigating the incident.
