Rajya Sabha MP from Odisha AV Swamy hospitalised

New Delhi: Rajya Sabha member from Odisha AV Swamy was on Friday rushed to a hospital after he collapsed in Parliament complex.

He was rushed in an ambulance to a hospital.

Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu informed members that AV Swamy had fallen down and rushed for treatment.

Whether it was due to sugar level or some other reason, it is yet to be ascertained, Naidu said.

Av Swamy is an Independent Rajya Sabha MP backed by Biju Janata Dal.

The 88-year-old Swamy was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 2012.
