Police ASI caught in compromising position with married woman in Odisha

Mayurbhanj: An Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Thakurmunda Police Station in Mayurbhanj district was thrashed by the villagers of Mahuldia on Sunday evening as he was caught with a married woman in compromising position in their village.

ASI Manoj Kumar Mathar Rathor who had earlier been posted at the Mahuldiha Police Station had allegedly developed an illicit relationship with a married woman in the village.

However, he had been transferred to Thakurmunda Police Station recently and was on a visit to Mahuldiha in some work last evening when met the woman at the latter’s house.

On Sunday evening, he had come to Mahuldia village to meet the woman but was caught by the villagers red-handed with the woman in a compromising position, according to reports.

While the duo was in a compromising position some villagers got a tip-off on them and nabbed the ASI. The irate villagers then thrashed him black and blue until the police came and rescued the ASI. He is now detained by the police.
