Shoe attack on Chief Minister during Bijepur by-poll campaign

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday faced shoe attack during campaigning for Bijepur by-poll.

A person has been detained for throwing shoes to the Chief Minister at Barapali.

The person, who is yet to be identified, hurled shoes at Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik while he was waving hand to the people who attended the meeting.

However, one of his alert personal security officers (PSOs) blocked the shoes targeted at the Chief Minister.

Soon after, the BJD supremo was whisked away from the spot.
