Suspected boxes found in Konark Express

Bhubaneswar: Panic gripped among passengers of Konark Express after two suspected boxes were found inside S-11 coach on Saturday morning.

Soon after the boxes were found in the Konark Express, the suspicious passengers alerted the police. The boxes were found near Madhira station between Warangal and Khammam stations under Secunderabad railway division of South Central Railway.

The police reached the spot and seized two small boxes. They were later removed from the railway station.

The police have been conducting searches in and around the station while bomb squads are examining the boxes, said an official of East Coast Railway here.

Konark Express was coming from Mumbai to Bhubaneswar.

ECoR official said the train is running in time.
