Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday announced financial incentives for the teachers working in Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla.
The incentives announced by the government will range from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh per month. The announcement was made following the approval by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors working in VIMSAR, Burla will get a financial incentive of Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh per month. For the first time, they will get the incentive, said Health Minister Pratap Jena.
While a Professor in a Super Speciality department will get an incentive of Rs 2 lakh per month, an Associate Professor will get Rs 1.5 lakh and an Assistant Professor will get Rs 1 lakh.
Similarly, while a Professor in a Speciality department will get an incentive of Rs 1.5 lakh per month, an Associate Professor will get Rs 1 lakh and an Assistant Professor will get Rs 50,000, said Jena.
