All Odisha private bus strike from March 14

Bhubaneswar: All Orissa Private Bus Owners’ Association has declared to go on an indefinite statewide bus strike to press for their various demands.

Over 6000 private buses will remain off the roads from 6 am March 14, said the association.

The association said that they were forced to go on strike as the state government did not pay heed to their demands.

Demanding a clarity report on the route chart of JNNURM city buses and a rollback of the hike in Motor Vehicle Tax, the association had submitted a memorandum to the state government February 19.
