CB begins probe into Bolangir parcel bomb explosion

Bhubaneswar: A four-member team of the State Crime Branch has reached Patnagarh in Balangir district to probe the parcel bomb explosion incident that killed two persons and left another in critical condition on February 23.

The Crime Branch formed a special investigation team to probe the Bolangir parcel bomb explosion following the order of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

The injured, Reema Sahu, requested the Chief Minister to conduct a high-level probe to bring out the truth and punish the culprits.

The parcel gift exploded when Reema and her husband Soumyasekhar were unwrapping it on February 23. While Soumyasekhar and his grandmother were killed in the incident, Reema was left with severe burn injuries. She underwent treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital.
