Patnagarh parcel bomb explosion: CB team interrogates SkyKing courier staff

Bhubaneswar: A two-member team of the Odisha Crime Branch has reached Raipur to probe into the Patnagarh parcel bomb explosion that killed two persons and left another in critical condition on February 23.

The Crime Branch officials interrogated SkyKing courier staff in connection with the Patnagarh parcel bomb explosion.

The parcel was dispatched from the SkyKing courier office in Raipur.

It is reported that the police got the photograph of the accused, who had sent the bomb in a parcel to Soumyasekhar Sahu, Patnagarh that exploded and killed Soumya and his grandmother and left his wife Reema severely injured.

The photograph of the accused has been captured from DIDC courier agency, Raipur to where the sender had gone first to send the parcel. As the DIDC officials refused, the sender came to the Sky King courier and sent the parcel.

The CB team has already met Reema, who is undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical in Cuttack and deceased Soumya’s family members at Patnagarh as part of its investigation.
