Milita Odisha Nisha Nibarana Abhijana to organise bike rally


Bhubaneswar: Milita Odisha Nisha Nibarana Abhijana(MONNA) through its youth outfit Mada Mukti Yuva Bahini will organize a 3-day bike rally from March 30 for the cause of total prohibition.

Hundreds of youths will participate in the bike rally which will begin from Namatara in Kendrapara district to state Assembly here to fight against liquor menace.

The rally will start at Namatara on 30th March morning and will travel through hundreds of villages of Kendrapada, Jajpur, Cuttack and Khurda in the route to reach Bhubaneswar on 1st April morning.

Announcing the yatra, Padma Charan Nayak, President of Milita Odisha Nisha Nibarana Abhijana said, “We have placed our several demands before Odisha government through Bhubaneswar Declaration at a 2-day convention organised on 29th & 30th January at Bhubaneswar. This rally will strengthen our demands on state government.”

Under Bhubaneswar Declaration, MONNA has put forth several demands for enforcement of total prohibition including the withdrawal and non-renewal of all types of licenses for manufacturing, distributing and selling of all types of liquor.
