Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday launched two e-portals for construction workers and their children facilitating to avail several benefits being offered by the state government.
While the workers can avail multiple facilities through this online platform, their children can also use the portal to avail financial assistance offered by the government to pursue higher studies.
Patnaik launched the portals on the inaugural ceremony of week-long Construction Workers’ Service Week here.
The Chief Minister said nearly 22 lakh construction labourers had already been registered with the government.
Out of them, nearly 11 lakh labourers and their families have availed nearly Rs 800 crore so far, he added.
The Chief Minister also distributed different assistance to the construction workers on the occasion.
