Amit Shah arrives at Bhawanipatna to address public meeting


Bhubaneswar: BJP national president Amit Shah has arrived on a two-day visit to Odisha on Wednesday.

Shah has arrived at Bhawanipatna, where he will address a public gathering.

The visit of BJP national president assumes significant after the defeat in the by-poll to Bijepur Assembly constituency.

BJP believes Shah’s two-day visit will change the fortune of the party in the state.

The party said that the party cadre will fight with a renewed vigour to accomplish mission 120+ in the 2019 elections.

“The visit of Amit Shah will change the political contours in Odisha. Shah will replicate the strategies that helped BJP win number of states in the country,” said BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma.

On April 5, Shah will address a public meeting at Bolangir. He will also hold a meeting of office bearers to strategise for the 2019 polls.

Meanwhile, several Congress workers detained for showing black flags to Amit Shah at Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi ahead of BJP’s ‘Mahasamabesh’.
