Bhubaneswar: Less than 24 hours after Rs 23 lakh and gold ornaments were looted from Andhra Bank in Odisha’s Angul district, some unidentified miscreants allegedly decamped with cash from State Bank of India’s Bantala branch here last night.
They looted Rs 2 lakh from the Bantala Branch of the State Bank of India last night.
According to reports, some miscreants broke open the gate and then the door of the strong room of the bank late on Friday night. Then, they took away a cash box that contained Rs 2 lakh.
Police have started an investigation into the incident.
The CCTV footage of the bank will be examined, said police.
Notably, a group of armed miscreants had looted over Rs 23 lakh and gold ornaments at gunpoint from Andhra Bank’s Angul branch yesterday around 10:30 am.
