Bhubaneswar: A total of 31 objectionable videos have been made viral on social networking sites from Odisha during the last three months, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday.
Replying to a question by Congress MLA Bhujabal Majhi, the Chief Minister told the Assembly that 124 cybercrime cases were reported in the last three months.
With the growing incidents of viral sex videos on social media, the state police had issued an advisory to check obscene videos and images from being made viral. The police have also arrested many accused.
However, the advisory failed to be a deterrent as the number of cases is rising day by day in Odisha.
